An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic Housing Team that is part of an award winning and innovative Housing Association in South Wales. We are looking for a Rooms4U Project Officer to work with registered social landlords and private sector landlords across the Vale of Glamorgan to develop and deliver an innovative project for single housing applicants under the age of 35 living in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Rooms4U Project Officer will need to have a broad range of knowledge around social housing, private lettings, housing and homelessness legislation and current welfare reform proposals. Applicants will also need to demonstrate experience of project management and the ability to create effective partnerships.

With excellent communication skills, the Rooms4U Project Officer will need to support landlords to develop housing options for single households under the age of 35 and will be expected to develop expertise and knowledge of best practice in this area. You will also need to develop a relationship with housing applicants to raise awareness of the welfare reform changes that are coming and support them into the Rooms4u project.

You will need to have a good attention to detail and the ability to develop the policies and procedures to support the establishment of the Rooms4u project as well as being able to report back on the learning experience of the project.
