The role

This is an exciting time at the Institution of Civil Engineers, their membership is growing, their influence is growing, civil engineers and technicians are in demand.

The Membership Coordinator is central to the successful delivery of the organisations Membership activities across London and the South East through effective customer service, data handling, administration and support for the Membership Recruitment team.

Duties and responsibilities

- Handling of enquiries as the first point of contact for members seeking their membership
- Provision of coordination and support in the management of the Membership Recruitment function
- Provision of professional events administration including venue booking, events promotion and delegate booking
- Administrative support to the London and South East Membership Recruitment activity, the 7 Membership Development Officers and the Membership Manager
- First class customer support through contact with members and non-members to ensure ongoing progress towards membership and qualification
- Development and coordination of new initiatives and campaigns to attract and retain members
- Coordinate and administer training, seminars, workshops, webinars and conferences
- Database management, data handling and analysis
- Provision of regular reports of progress against Key Performance Indicators
- Maintain and update information for website and other e-channels

What are they looking for?

You will be passionate about delivering first-class customer service and support. They are looking for outstanding candidates who will have experience of a similar position with excellent customer service and support skills. The candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, will be proactive, able to prioritise and work to deadlines as well as can work well both in a team and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will possess strong IT skills, with significant experience in database input as well as data extraction, interrogation and analysis. Experience of events administration and organisation is essential whilst financial administration experience is also desirable.
