Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Taunton, working 45hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Logistics Coordinator responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the planning and controlling of fleet operations ensuring the co-ordination of all required activities to maximise efficiencies.

Responsibilities will also include:
  • Allocating and controlling vehicles efficiently to meet the operational requirements.
  • Ensuring, through constant review, a cost effective, quality service is carried out.
  • Maintaining the fleet to Company and Legislative standards ensuring high standards of housekeeping.
  • Maximising, together with the Logistics Unit Manager, the efficiency of the fleet’s operation.
  • Managing and developing all employees.
  • Maintaining all fleet and tachograph records, reports and check sheets in a complete and recoverable manner to ensure BMS and legislative compliance at all times.
  • Ensuring sufficient labour and resources are available to complete the workload.
The ideal Logistics Coordinator:
  • An understanding of fleet operating systems
  • Full knowledge of Road Transport and Environmental legislation
  • Ability to route vehicles effectively taking into account profit and productivity
  • Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy
  • Previous experience controlling fleet activities.
  • Hold a full CPC in road transport, or to be committed to attaining one within a short timescale
In return for this position, we can offer a salary of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum as well as an attractive benefits package.  You will be working within in a team-orientated and collaborative environment, for a Company that strives to be environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.
