This is an exciting opportunity to join the UKs leading specialist commercial washroom refurbishment contractor. This company supply and install washroom related products and materials to commercial organisations throughout the South UK including to office facilities, schools, theme parks among many others. Due to continued success and as part of their planned growth a vacancy exists to lead our sales effort as a Business Development Manager at our head office in Poole, Dorset.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the purpose of the role is to lead the sales process and proactively secure new washroom projects so as to ensure a steady stream of work and business growth.

Working within a young and dynamic team your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to new site visit requests from existing and new clients. These are generated through aggressive online marketing.
- Proactively contact new clients to book site visits to view new washroom refurbishment projects.
- Managing and coaching of junior sales staff
- Working with marketing colleagues to target clients within key sectors
- Estimating/quoting of projects
- Supplier and Key Account management
- Tender presentation

Minimum qualifications of GCSE English & Maths at grade C and above is expected, preferably with additional further education qualifications. Applicants should ideally have a background within sales of commercial interiors contracting projects or of selling commercial washroom and plumbing type products (experience within other sectors will also be considered). As an experienced sales person, applicants will be ambitious and self-motivated and be able to demonstrate proven ability to hit sales targets.

The washroom sector is niche and the ability to quickly learn and understand new products is essential so as to coherently sell to clients with limited knowledge. The successful applicant will be expected to champion the business as a niche specialist in washroom design and refurbishment so as to create a strong business case when compared to competitors.

The geographical coverage of the role extends across the South UK, particularly counties neighbouring Dorset and Hampshire. As such applicants should expect to be travelling to client sites regularly throughout the working week. Significant travel should be expected as part of the role.

Full IT literacy and proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of products is essential, particularly Word & Excel.

This role is a varied one and a willingness to become involved in other office duties will be required. The ability to liaise and create relationships with customers and colleagues is essential.

In return you will receive a basic salary between GBP30-35k (depending on experience), company car, mobile, laptop and uncapped commission structure (OTE GBP60k+).
