This IT Solutions Provider is on the lookout for an outstanding Software Engineer / Developer
This is a new role for a skilled Developer to work with our Project Manager on the technical side of projects, and co-ordinating the team to allocate work according to skills, experience and interest.
We are looking for someone who has development experience, enjoys responsibility and is keen to share their knowledge and experience with a great team.
You'll be responsible for:
- Assisting the Project Manager with the scoping and allocation of work to our team of developers.
- Assist with the design of the software
- Working as part of the development team to deliver client sites
- Testing and reviewing work produced by developers to ensure teams are working to their strengths and deadlines are being met.
- Managing deployment
- Writing well-designed, testable and efficient code, which meets software development practices.
- Maintain knowledge of new technologies and good practice.
Whilst you will not be directly responsible for managing the team, you will be crucial in liaising between the developers and Project Manager and building a skilled team of developers to meet client demand.
You will be ready to take on a fast-paced and exciting role. To help us deliver our great projects, you'll need to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and have a meticulous eye for detail. You must be able to quickly diagnose and solve problems, and have great communication skills.
To help us unlock our clients' potential you'll need:
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Between 1-5 years in a development role
- Technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, Object Orientated PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, MVC Design Pattern
- A basic understanding of web security, session management and best development practices along with some Search Engine Optimisation.
- Understanding of database development practices and software design
