Electronic Bench Engineer / Technician

This established name in IT Service and solutions is looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys resolving electronic problems and who has the tenacity and perseverance to fix complex electro/mechanical faults.

The successful applicant may not necessarily have any recognised qualifications, but will be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of the function of components and circuitry and be fully conversant with schematic drawings.

Responsibilities will include the repair of product, replacing parts, testing and calibration using test programmes and recording results. You will have a high standard of soldering techniques and be able to carry out surface mount rework.

There will be some customer liaison and support of technical staff, and liaison with R&D colleagues. Ideally someone with technical document writing experience and knowledge of C++, Visual Basic, Visual Basicdotnet,

Salary 14k-30k depending on experience

Based at their Calne office Core hours of work: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5:30pm with an hour for lunch.

You will receive 20 days paid holiday per year initially, incremented by 1 day after 5 years service up to a maximum of 25 days.
