As a Team Administrator based in their vibrant Manchester office, this role is required to provide effective, proactive and reliable administrative support to the Transport team, on the basis of a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be personable and well-presented, as there will be regular interaction with clients. The individual must possess excellent computer skills, along with a helpful and flexible can-do attitude.

Your Role

You will be working as part of the Manchester office Admin team, and will provide support to Transport professionals across all grades, as well as other disciplines. This is an important role which is essential to the teams' smooth running. You will interact with all team members, managing Senior Directors' diaries, coordinating office and meeting room bookings, attending local events and organising travel.

You will help with the co-ordination of annual leave, staff training and professional development, and will be involved with the compilation of tenders and documents. In addition, you will be responsible for project set-up, document preparation, formatting and control plus liaison with contractors, other administration colleagues and financial teams. You will also manage timesheets, expenses and invoicing.

Experience working for a transport consultancy and/or planning consultancy or within the consultancy/legal sectors would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be a keen, progressive, versatile individual who is proactive in seeking work, is able to use their own initiative and who can adopt a flexible approach to provide support to the team.

About You

It is essential that you have a high level of desktop software skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Some experience of financial systems and related software packages would be advantageous, as a key element of the role is dealing with financial project management, invoicing and reporting. Experience of client relationship management software packages would also be an advantage.
