HGV Driver – Class 1 (C+E) – LGV – Brick & Block Delivery (AWDO-P2799)

LGV / HGV Driver (Class 1, C+E) with great driving, communication and time-management skills required for a successful Brick and Block / Construction delivery operation with a well-established Company based in  Braithwell (Near Rotherham) Doncaster, South Yorkshire.  

SALARY: £630 - £660 per week + Benefits (Free on-site parking, Uniform, 28 Days Holiday including statuary Bank Holidays)

KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have an LGV / HGV (Class 1, C+E) Drivers Licence with experience preferably delivering Brick and Block for the Construction Industry. HIAB Crane Licence would be highly desirable, although full training will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE: This job will involve nationwide deliveries and you must be willing to work away from home Monday to Thursday.

JOB OVERVIEW

Due to the Company’s continued success we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Brick and Block LGV / HGV Driver (Class 1, C+E) that has great driving, communication and time-management skills.

Working as the LGV / HGV Driver (Class 1, C+E) you will be responsible for the delivery of blocks nationwide to customer sites in a timely and professional manner, whilst keeping within relevant legislation for drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).

As a successful candidate you will receive additional HIAB Crane Training (if needed) and will join the Company’s existing team of professional LGV / HGV Drivers that transport goods nationwide using the Company’s fleet of arctic and draw-bar vehicles.

DUTIES

• Ensure vehicle is loaded safely and correctly

• Ensure vehicle is in a roadworthy condition

• Delivery of loads on time and in full

• Maintain Working Time Directive (WTD) records

• Ability to work on your own

• Complete any necessary paperwork as required

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate will hold a C + E (Class 1) HGV Licence

• HIAB crane licence is desirable, but full training can be provided

• Knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive

• Knowledge of tachograph compliance

• Experience of working within a high volume customer service environment

• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
