Store Manager

Countrywide Farmers has a unique opportunity available for a Store Manager to join the team in Raglan, Gwent. The role is a full time, permanent position working 38.5 per week which may include working alternate weekends and some bank holidays. We are offering the Store Manager a competitive salary plus benefits.

From our Country Stores we sell a vast range of products including farming, equestrian, pet, country clothing and gardening products. Specialist advice is on hand for account customers from our experienced Sales and Advisory Teams who work together to provide knowledge and expertise, be it for livestock feeds and husbandry, arable, fuel, LPG, and amenity products.

In all aspects of our business we aim to deliver a personal service, share our knowledge and expertise whilst looking to the latest products and innovations – to shape a future as vibrant as our 100 year heritage.

What are the responsibilities of the Store Manager?

As an experienced Retail Manager you will be responsible for delivering the financial objectives for the store and developing a team that provides outstanding customer service and excellent retail standards, maintaining correct levels of stock availability and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Our ideal Store Manager will have the following skills & experience:

To be successful you will be an enthusiastic, hard working and 'hands on' person who has the ability to really drive our stores forward. You must have a desire to provide outstanding customer service and be able to motivate, lead and engage others around you. Retail management experience is essential along with the willingness to complete the AMTRA qualification. Candidates must be business focused, results driven, energetic and have a real passion for what you do. An empathy with the rural community and an AMTRA qualified candidate is desirable.
