Hygiene Manager | Food Manufacturing
Our client is one of the world's most prominent and established manufacturer of convenience foods who operate with a real passion and enthusiasm. Their range of chilled, ambient and frozen products are supplied to the most successful food and retail service customers. This site is a High Care, Prepared food environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and drive all aspects of the hygiene services by establishing standards and managing the hygiene team in order to fulfil customers' expectations of safety etc.
Overall responsibilities for implementing strategy and quality as well as hygiene innovation to ensure the unit has a service that supports the manufacturing process.
Be an advocate and give direction to make sure the entire site is engaged and focused on delivering high standards.
Responsible for establishing a 360° approach that incorporates SHE, environmental and waste management through customer relationships and efficient management of 3rd parties.
Continuously monitor, audit and review the unit's performance in order to identify areas for improvement and to also ensure all hygiene activities are delivered correctly.
Responsible for the hygiene budget, related Capex and negotiation/maintenance of 3rd party contracts that supply.
Ensure that a safe working environment exists for employees and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set in the SHE Policy.
Our client expect the Hygiene Manager to be a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record in FMCG and Hygiene management. It is essential that the post holder has strong knowledge and understanding of the principles of chilled food manufacturing in both high and low care environments.
