Due to growth, an exciting opportunity is available for a Class 2 Driver to join a multiple award-winning company with bathroom and tiles showrooms throughout the UK. Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire the successful Class 2 Driver will earn £22,438.

As a Class 2 Driver you will be a welcome member of an exciting and vibrant company. As part of the team you will be helping to achieve the company’s crazy goal of ‘Being recommended by everyone’. The main duties of the Driver include:

  • Driving Category C vehicles safely, legally and efficiently as required
  • To comply with all drivers’ hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
  • Comply with the mobile workers working time directive legislation
  • To load and unload vehicle and maintain safety and security of load at all times
  • Carry out all necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal
  • To act as company ambassador when dealing with customers
  • To complete all paperwork promptly and accurately as required
  • To plan and adapt routes as necessary and feedback to traffic office on any issues
  • Maximise first time success and ensure minimum damage
  • Report any load discrepancies immediately
  • Keep company vehicles clean and tidy at all times

To be considered for the Class 2 Driver position you must hold and have minimum entitlement to drive category C vehicles as well as hold or have a willingness to work towards gaining driver CPC qualification. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:

  • Excellent attendance and time keeping
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Thorough knowledge of driver’s hour’s legislation, tachograph procedures and other legal obligations
  • Demonstrable route planning and map reading ability
  • A good level of general fitness and stamina
  • Common sense and a responsible attitude
  • Polite attitude towards other road users
  • Awareness of health and safety issues
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Additional information: Working week includes 13 hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off including weekend work. Bonus schemes in place for accident free year, attendance and driver of the month. Overtime available weekly.
