Working Location/Environment

The position is field based however the line of reporting is based at their site in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will cover Lincolnshire, Birmingham, Leicestershire, Coventry and Northampton.

Description of Position

Prime responsibilities will be the installation of traditional and IP based telephony hardware and software. The will entail a mixture of installations, maintenance and additional works jobs.

It is imperative that the successful candidate has experience on installing PABX systems with specific experience of Ericsson-LG hardware and associated applications.

Objectives and Responsibilities

- To provide an Installation service at customer's premises, working as a team or working individually.
- Liaising with customers therefore requiring excellent customer communication skills.
- To develop good working relationship with internal office staff and field based engineers.
- To assist other engineers involved in projects, and to work with management in the assignment of technical tasks where required.
- To be able to provide full customer training on the installed product
- To be able to provide clear and concise documentation of completed allocated work.
- To be able to liaise with PABX manufacturer technical support helpdesk to provide solutions to rectify problematic faults.
- To work closely with Installation job co-coordinators to ensure accurate recording of all engineering activities and install details.
- To work closely with other engineers to continually pursue self-development through in house training and to also assist in the development and training of other engineers.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- An ability to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills; be an effective communicator across all levels of the organisation
- To have exceptional analytical and negotiating skills
- Must be able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team with limited guidance
- Understanding and working knowledge of the telecommunications industry
