Devon based opportunity for a Director of Operations
£50k per annum
EDP Drug & Alcohol Services is a high performing social enterprise and charity, providing substance misuse services across Devon and Dorset within the community and the prisons. EDP has recently expanded its services to help improve the health, wellbeing and employability of individuals affected by mental health issues, and other harmful addictive and offending behaviour.
The charity has steadily grown over the past two years and has increased its workforce from 130 to circa 200 staff. We have a highly committed workforce and ambitious strategy, with a keen focus on innovation and growth.
Our Director of Operations is leaving EDP to take up a new opportunity. We are seeking a replacement to work closely with the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees and Directorate team to develop, drive forward and deliver our strategy. The role will oversee and develop EDP's operations and quality function, build partnerships and support the delivery of our people strategies and plans to secure opportunities for further development and growth.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their proven excellence and effectiveness as a senior leader, with a track record for achieving results and the successful management and delivery of contracts and partnerships. You will be able to demonstrate your skills in contract and strategic operational management and developing and implementing service models. You will have an excellent understanding of quality and continuous improvement and preferably be familiar with the drug and alcohol and criminal justice sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader with a strong drive for quality of delivery, excellent commercial acumen and a value based and solution focused approach. The post will report to the Chief Executive and provide advice and information to the Board of Trustees.
The post will be based in our Central Services office in Exeter, walking distance from the historic Quayside and town centre. In return for your commitment and enthusiasm, we offer training and development, a generous leave package, child care vouchers, a pension scheme and a positive, friendly working environment.
For an informal discussion about the role, please telephone Lucie Hartley, Chief Executive: 07714 679369.
