A Warehouse Controller is required to join one of the largest independent distributors of Facilities supplies and Health and Safety products in Scotland.

They are looking for an experienced warehouse professional to take day to day responsibility for the efficient operation of the Warehouse, stock control system and supervision of warehouse staff at their Livingston location.

You'll contribute to the ongoing development of the business by constantly seeking to develop and drive improvements which will result in greater efficiency and add value to their customer service levels.

Duties include:

- Review and organise the warehouse to its optimum efficiency to meet the requirements of the business.
- Review current procedures and practices and ensure that they are efficient, relevant and meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain stock system and constantly monitor stock levels and back order reports
- Lead and develop the staff listed above, providing them with regular communication and feedback to enable them to meet and exceed their KPI targets.
- Manage the customer order process - from receipt of picking list from the front office to final delivery - to ensure orders are fulfilled to the highest levels of customer service and that all paperwork is completed in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage the logistics process to ensure that delivery routes are cost effective and time efficient.
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in the Warehouse and routine maintenance of all equipment therein and vehicles. Maintain the warehouse to the standards of BRC and ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
- Ensure that the Warehouse complies at all times with current Health & Safety legislation
- Other general duties as required including some driving duties if required.

Qualifications and experience:

- Qualifications in warehousing, management and/or Health & Safety an advantage
- Current forklift certificate
- Clean current driving licence
- Previous warehouse experience and working knowledge of computerised stock control systems
- Experience of supervising staff

Skills and Attributes

- First class organisational and supervisory skills
- Must have an eye for detail and be passionate about stock control and the need for everything to be in its place
- Basic computer literacy
