Our client is a family business, founded in 1979 that has grown considerably. They are currently recruiting for a Production & Logistics Operative to join their team.
This is an unusual and varied role for an individual with the right skill set to join their busy team. We are looking for somebody with woodworking/wood machining experience with a full driving licence to work within our client's factory and to provide ad hoc support to their delivery team.
The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in manufacturing role, producing wood products to a high standard of finish. With a flexible approach, they will also be required to cover members of our delivery team during holidays and periods of high demand, delivering our products directly to customers (Funeral Directors and the trade) using 3.5T vans.
A specialist driving licence is not necessary but for insurance purposes, we ask that you have held valid UK driving licence for three years. It is desirable that you would have previous experience driving a similar vehicle.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £8.25 /hour to be reviewed after 6 months
Required education: Secondary education
Required experience: Woodworking (2 years)
Required licence or certification: Driving License.
