Job Title: Contract Test Analyst

This company is looking to recruit a Contract Test Analyst to manage the testing of a project or series of small projects through the Test planning, design & delivery phases. Successfully matrix managing a team of Testers and Business resource to deliver testing outcomes, whilst at the same time managing relationships with suppliers to deliver defect resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Under the guidance of the Head of Testing, you will be responsible for the definition of the Test Strategy for the project(s) you have delivery responsibility for:
- Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan
- Develop the test scenarios and scripts for the project(s) you have delivery responsibility for
- Responsible for the definition of test environment requirements and management of those environments to ensure testing outcomes are achieved
- Test execution in line with baselined plans
- Management of defects arising from testing to ensure they are correctly prioritised and resolved in a timely manner to support delivery of the testing milestones
- Resource management and planning (including junior testers and business resource), to ensure test activities deliver to committed plans
- Test progression and defect position reporting to stakeholders including the Project Manager, - Business SMEs and preparing reports for Steering Committee
- Raise project risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies arising from the testing workstream to the Project Manager

Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications

- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Demonstrable experience in software testing
- Proven experience of leading test phases for IT change projects
- Proven experience of managing/leading small testing teams through mentoring and guidance in testing tools and techniques
- Knowledge of the proclaim legal case management application is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates with this experience will be given priority.
