IT Support Engineer

The IT department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. The department is responsible for resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently. The IT Support Engineer will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the IT manager.

Your technical experience will lie within supporting, Windows Server (Hyper-V), Citrix XenDesktop, Networking, whilst having a proven hands-on background providing support for users.

The right candidate will have previous experience in an IT Support role and demonstrate a customer centric approach to their work, be confident in communicating across all levels in the business and with both technical and non-technical staff. In addition, they should show strong attention to detail, a natural flair for problem solving and always strive to meet and exceed expectations.


This Property Management company specialises in the ongoing management of large residential developments, including the effective administration of +£20m of client service charge budgets. Based in Cambridge and with offices in London, Bracknell and Nottingham, they work across East Anglia, London, the Home Counties, the South and East Midlands, and has plans for further growth. The Group also consists of separate Facilities Management and Legal businesses, employing over 185 people. This company prides itself on a commitment to excellence and customer service.

Role - IT Support Engineer
Salary Range - £25,000 - £30,000 pa, dependant on experience
Type - Permanent Full-time
Working Hours - 9am - 6pm, mon-fri
Location - Cambridge

Key Criteria:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar role
- Ability to consult and communicate effectively, both written and verbal to all levels of staff
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Server technologies 2012/2008, Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2016, Active Directory administration
- Understanding / knowledge of networking (Cisco, Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, DHCP)
- Citrix knowledge - Experience of Citrix XenApp / Microsoft Remote - Desktop services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Driver's licence

Desirable skills

- NetApp
- Experience of scripting in a Windows environment (e.g. PowerShell and VBSript)
- Virtualisation technologies
