c£32,500K basic plus benefits

This company is a profitable, rapidly growing, company supplying a diverse range of high quality internal floor marking systems, safety products, safety netting and identification products predominantly into the supply chain and logistics sectors. Most production and all contracts are managed in-house and over the last 20 years they have built an impressive customer base in a number of sectors. They are ISO 9001 & IIP accredited and in the last 5 years have seen the turnover grow by 300%.

This is an excellent career opportunity to join a progressive company that has clear plans and objectives for taking the business to the next level, and with this in mind they need to appoint a Contracts Manager to play a key part in delivering this growth. The environment is fast paced with short lead times and most of their projects are bespoke. You will be working with a team who will undertake site surveys and RAMS to ensure that the contracts are scoped out correctly.

Candidates with experience of any of the following are likely to be the most relevant -

- Construction
- M&E
- Industrial Flooring
- Facilities Management
- On site Health and Safety / IOSH / SafeContractor or similar etc.

Key responsibilities

- Project co-ordination including all elements of order management, from pre-sales support and commercial review to delivery and installation
- Cost control to ensure efficient delivery / installation of each project and ensure targeted margins are achieved
- Co-ordinate and manage installations to ensure the correct utilisation of resources
- Managing Work-In-Progress across multiple projects

Applicants should have the following:

- c3-5 years' experience in contracting / project management, e.g. within construction, industrial flooring, M&E, Facilities Management, Fit-out, supply chain / logistics would be most relevant
- Strong understanding and experience of cost control and controlling WIP
- Strong desire to work effectively within a small team and get the best out of people
- Keen eye for detail and be very organised
- Proactive approach in dealing with customers and managing their expectations
- Logical approach, good IT skills and be numerate
- Some prior exposure / experience in Quantity Surveying would also be useful but not essential
