Do you have excellent administration and analytical skills and are looking for a fast moving department dealing with international shippers and suppliers? 

We are the UK and Ireland's leading distributor of softwood and engineered wood products to the roof truss, timber frame manufacturing industries and builders’ merchants and are seeking a professional procurement person with high level of computer literacy and interpersonal skills to join us.

The Procurement Co-ordinator role: 

Reporting to the Shipping Manager you will assist with all the day-to-day operational processes of the logistics function to ensure that materials are accurately ordered on time to meet the demands of the business. 

Preferred Experience& Skills:

> Educated to Degree level or ‘A’ level standard with relevant experience
> Previous experience in a commercial / procurement office environment 
> Experience of a fast moving professional of working in a team
> Excellent administration and processing skills
> Good Microsoft office skills
> Excellent telephone manner

Required Personal Skills:

> Strong analytical skills with high level of computer literacy and numeracy.
> Good level of mathematical understanding and data analysis.
> Able to build long lasting relationships and trust with suppliers and colleagues.
> Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbally.
> Strong customer service focus based on meeting deadlines and delivering high quality and accurate work.
> Ability to identify opportunities for improvements to processes and systems.
> Good professional telephone manner
> Integrity and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
> Microsoft Excel / Word to a good intermediate level.
> Microsoft Powerpoint to a good basic level.

Remuneration package

Salary: £19,000 - £25,000 depending upon experience 
Hours of work: 40 per week, 8am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch
Holidays: 25 days per year +8 Statutory days
Bonus scheme: Annual bonus dependent upon company and individual performance 
Contributory pension scheme: Generous company contribution
