Based at our offices in Longbridge, this is an opportunity to join a highly professional team delivering energy procurement solutions to a membership of public sector bodies, most of whom are from the Higher and Further Education sector. This role is critical in the support of our growing energy portfolio and to the continued insourcing of data services and reporting.
We are now looking for a Data Support Administrator to support the regular and accurate maintenance of all databases in support of TEC services. The post will have responsibility for the population of structured and basic information to the databases to enable member reporting as well as in support of other areas of data application. This is a small business and experience working in a small business, or small team as part of a larger business, would be advantageous.
Main duties
- Regular data flows are received from external parties, including energy suppliers, data services providers and, where necessary, TEC members are accurately uploaded to database within agreed timescales.
- Ensure that Member reports are successfully delivered by agreed deadline, using tools for measuring data quality and exception reporting to determine anomalies.
- Ensure that successful account transfers (between suppliers or frameworks) are reflected within the database, escalating issues as required.
- Maintain familiarity and interface between TEC Data and industry databases.
- Ensure regular and accurate validation of TEC and industry databases.
- Update and record all contracting activity and data on the company or other databases.
- Provides first point of contact on all reporting matters for TEC staff.
The successful candidate will have
- Sound and broadly based education to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) to include a good pass in maths.
- PC Literate - proficiency in various IT including MS Office, with particular knowledge on MS Excel
- Familiarity of various databases and other systems
- Previous experience in data entry.
- Articulate and numerate with good analysis skills.
- Ability to work quickly and to timescales while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Organisational and prioritising skills.
There is a generous pay and benefits package.
- Salary would depend on experience but falls within the range of £18,360 - £22,440pa
