Pembrokeshire County Council is a forward looking, all-purpose local authority serving the community in a remarkably attractive part of Wales.

The Authority is now embarking on a period of innovative, transformational change in response to the need to operate with reduced budgets and to deliver services in different ways.

As Director of Finance (section 151 officer), your primary responsibility will be to devise and implement a financial strategy that supports and enables the achievement of corporate goals for service delivery and improvement.

We seek an astute and experienced finance professional (i.e. a CCAB-qualified accountant) with strong managerial skills, who has a track record of successfully leading the finance function in a comparable local authority or similar organisation.

This is a superb opportunity to join the executive team in a progressive Council during an interesting and challenging phase in its organisational development. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
