Our client is an IT Reseller based in Coalville, Leicestershire. Specialising in Product Supply, Disaster Recovery, Engineering Installation and Helpdesk Support, they are currently looking for an IT Helpdesk and Support Engineer to expand their helpdesk and engineering department.
They are currently in the process of moving to purpose built offices located in Coalville, Leicestershire. Due to expansion there is a requirement for an enthusiastic team player to join the engineering team, working predominantly in the helpdesk and configuration support arena.
Working in a first line helpdesk support role, you will join a fast growing busy IT company that provide technical support services to SME’s throughout the UK. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure and have the skills to identify and problem solve. A competent knowledge and understanding of IT is required, along with experience of Windows operating systems, servers and Office applications.
Skills required and Duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be polite and confident
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Be well-organised and thorough,
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good first time fix rate
- Good Troubleshooting skills, attention to detail
- Supporting customers via telephone and use of remote control support software.
- Configuration and setup of customer hardware, prior to site rollout.
- Use of their In-house Helpdesk Application Software
Technologies you will require experience of at a support level.
- Microsoft Windows Environment, Desktops and Servers
- Microsoft Office
- Office 365 setup and management
- Backup Solutions
- General Networking
- General Desktop Applications
