Money Debt and Benefits Assistant
One of the Stirling Council's Key Priorities is to develop advice services that are fit to support people through the current round of welfare changes by establishing an integrated service with voluntary sector leadership. Operating within the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers, as an accredited provider, the Money, Debt & Benefits Advice Team promotes the financial inclusion of service users. The Team provides direct money, debt and benefits advice, advocacy and representation; giving people the knowledge, tools and confidence to be able to resolve matters themselves, or provide a gateway to specialist advice or other complementary services when further help is required. The Money, Debt and Benefits Assistant will promote the financial wellbeing of citizens in Stirling and work towards the alleviation of hardship and disadvantage by providing support to the Money, Debt and Benefits Advisers to ensure the most effective delivery of service to clients. This post reports to the Advice Services Co-ordinator. This is a temporary post for 2 years.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be invited to come in to complete the form and have your details verified.
