We are looking for Kitchen Managers to lead the chef team towards our goal of always delivering food to exceptional standards, delivering excellent customer service in the kitchen to support the front of house operation...and ultimately ensure a fantastic guest experience!
About the pub -
The Fernhurst is located on Bolton Road the main road into Blackburn. We are opposite Blackburn football ground. The Hotel benefits from both business and leisure. The Fernhurst has an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Manager. We are currently in the process of building a strong team and are looking for an individual with great leadership skills, enjoys working in a branded environment and can work at pace. The Fernhurst is a traditional Hungry Horse offering great value for money with a good reputation on food and an EHO 5 star rating, as well as strong liquor trade, with the facilities of a function room for private events. The layout is open plan with an over 18 bar area, showing sky sports, regular entertainment, a pool team and midweek quiz. The Fernhurst also has a 30 Bedroom Lodge we benefits from Blackburn FC plus our midweek business guests. Possible Live In available comprising of a one room bedsit with separate kitchen and bathroom

Your Key Responsibilities will be to manage the opening and closing of the kitchen, prepare, cook and present food to company specification, keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times, maintain accurate food ordering and stocking levels, including kitchen materials, manage all kitchen - related office administration and third-party contractors, assist in delivering financial targets set for the house, manage wastage and train and develop staff.
