Domestic Applicance Engineer
An established domestic appliance repair company are looking to recruit a domestic appliance engineer to repair and work on electrical appliances including washing machines,tumble dryers and dishwashers, or refridgerator and gas cookers in the Stevenage and surrounding areas.
The Role:
The engineer will ensure domestic appliances are repaired and serviced in line with high standards and health and safety regulations.
Day to Day duties:
Attend up to 10 calls a day depending on areas/jobs and ensure that all paperwork is up to date and correct.
Inspect job sheets closely and identify key parts needed to complete calls.
Collect parts that are to be fitted for days` calls.
Ensure that van stock is always up to date and that the vehicle supplied is clean and presentable and carry out routine maintenance checks.
Plan routes and take notes of times printed on job sheets.
Aim to be at first call by 8:30 Am the latest each day.
Order any parts required from customer's homes using the laptop.
Clean up any mess caused from the work carried out at the customer's property.
Candidate:
In order to be considered for this role you must have experience with electrical fault finding and repairing of domestic appliances such as washing machines,tumble dryers and dishwashers you may also be more gas biased eg cookers.
You will be qualified and competent to test electrical appliances that are compliance with current legislation.
You must be previously trained to work on domestic appliances and have good customer service skills. Good geographical knowledge of the area and good time management is essential.
