Offering support to the Corporate Services team, you will be responsible for delivering a quality service to a portfolio of clients, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
* Taking responsibility for planning, field work and completion of statutory audits in a variety of industries, including substantial groups
* Preparing individual and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102
* Supervising audit teams on site to ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget
* Preparation of corporation tax computations
* Monitoring of WIP and billing
* Preparing draft reports and other documentations for presentation to clients
We are seeking someone who is committed to providing outstanding client service, whilst concurrently taking responsibility for their own personal development. The successful person will also be able to communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional manner, and be a good team player, to ensure the team as a whole meets its objectives.
Our ideal candidate will:
* Be ACA qualified
* Have a sound knowledge and experience of auditing standards and experience of a wide range of audit clients
* Have experience of preparation of accounts, including group accounts, under old and new UK GAAP
* Have experience of managing audit teams
* Possess a good knowledge of basic tax principles, including corporation tax and deferred tax
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately
* Have a strong commercial awareness
Strong IT skills are essential in this role, with candidates ideally being competent in all Microsoft packages as well as accounts production, audit and corporation tax software, Sage Line 50 and preferably some experience of cloud based accounting software.
