Marketing Co-ordinator
Based in Devon
Salary GBP18K - GBP20K.
The Marketing Co-ordinator's role is to generate copy and content for both printed and digital communication channels, with a view to raising the profile of the business with both potential apprentices and employers, and helping to position the company as a leading authority in apprenticeship training. This will include writing for promotional literature, press releases, adverts, the company's websites, social media posts, and internal and external e-newsletters. The role also involves supporting the company's other marketing activities as one of the Marketing team.
Main responsibilities -
?? Compiling and editing copy for the flagship publications, including the apprenticeship guide and various handbooks.
?? Researching apprentice and employer case studies, in liaison with Co-ordinators and Trainers, and writing different versions for use across various communication channels.
?? Investigating possible news stories and drafting press releases for distribution to the relevant media; and reporting on the uptake of these.
?? Compiling and editing content for the external facing e-newsletters and magazines, distributing, and reporting on the impact of these.
?? Collating and editing content for the internal staff newsletter, in liaison with the Managers.
?? Assisting with any copy required for advertisements and promotional campaigns, in liaison with the appointed marketing agency.
?? Helping identify content and write appropriate posts for the different social media channels, in liaison with the Digital Marketing Co-ordinator.
?? Helping with the organisation of promotional events, and attending when required, in liaison with the Events Marketing Co-ordinator.
Person Specification -
?? Educated to at least A levels or equivalent, with a grade B or above in GCSE English. Further qualifications in a relevant subject would be an advantage.
?? Prior experience of working in a Marketing Communications role, ideally for at least a year, including generating and writing copy and content for both printed and digital media.
?? A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail are required, and the ability to write clear concise copy for different audiences.
?? A broad understanding of websites and use of social media channels.
?? Highly organised with the ability to work to tight and competing deadlines.
?? Excellent oral communication with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, employer representatives and apprentices.
?? A clean driving licence.
