Interested in a job where no two days are the same?

With the right induction, training, support and supervision you could be just the person our client looking for to fulfil an exciting role as a Support Worker in Queen Elizabeth House: we support people who have a learning disability, epilepsy and other complex health needs. We want to recruit staff who are enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated.

If you have previous experience of epilepsy, this would be helpful, although no previous experience is required as they will provide you with a full, comprehensive and specialised ongoing training package. Upon successful completion of your induction and probation period there are lots of opportunities to progress, enhance your skills, knowledge and personal development, including a nationally recognised Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social care.

The range of support needs varies, and your main aim is to support the residents to live a full, active, varied life, empowering them to make decisions; pursue leisure, social, educational and recreational activities, and be part of a team that puts the person first, making a vital difference to the individual.

Benefits include free parking onsite; personal pension scheme; paid DBS; generous annual leave allowance; unsocial hours pay enhancements and overtime shifts may also be available.

To apply, please complete an application form, clearly explaining how you meet the person specification for this role.
