Our client is a global supplier of high performance electrical harness component products and services to the aerospace, defence, industrial and motorsport markets. They have identified an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join their team.
Position summary
Reporting to the Senior Technical Specialist as Technical Support Specialist you will take a lead in technically supporting the range of electrical harnessing components offered by the company.
Technical Support Specialist key roles and responsibilities include:
• Offer product support to customers, field sales and internal departments
• Verify/approve product specifications and drawings (both suppliers & customers)
• Be involved in product training to all company personnel
• Be the main technical advisor to Marketing, providing sales media & web development support
• Create and maintain a company competitor cross reference database
• Support and interact with quality in instances of product analysis/investigation
• Assume the role of ‘Product Specialist’ for specific new product introductions
• Visit customers for on-site tech support as required
What do you need for the Technical Support Specialist role?
• 2 / 3 years of industry experience specifically in relation to electrical harness components is essential
• An electrical and/or electronics engineering qualification (HND or higher) is essential
• Be familiar with current industry trends for accessing and providing internet-based technical support
• Exceptional communication skills
• The ability to confidently work under your own initiative in addition to working as part of a team
Benefits
• Salary: £25k to £30k per annum – depending upon experience
• 25 days holiday per year + public holidays
• Enhanced salary sacrifice pension scheme (after 6 months)
• There is an objective based profit related annual bonus scheme of £1k (target)
