ICT and Computing Teacher
Are you an ICT & Computing Teacher, with a view to securing your next long term role? We are currently recruiting for a large secondary school in Oldham. They are looking to recruit knowledgeable, enthusiastic and forward-thinking staff to support them in their development. The school is currently looking to recruit an ICT & Computing Teacher, on a part-time basis of 3 days a week. This is a temporary contract commencing ASAP and will be ongoing through to the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will need: * Thorough subject knowledge of ICT, with an emphasis on computing * Good behaviour management, behaviour at the school is good but keeping pupils consistently on track is a must * A focus on teaching and learning, with effective assessment and monitoring, so accurate and insightful action can be taken with underachieving pupils * Good communication skills between peers, colleagues, SLT members and others around the school * A sense of humour and the ability to remain calm under pressure* Be able to teach ICT and computing up to GCSE Level The school has strong leadership and a vision where rapid and effective actions are being taken to meet pupil needs. The senior leadership team now design high-quality training for teachers, and the actions of middle leaders have improved teaching and the consistency of assessment. The school and its surrounding area are a supportive community, which helps with pupil confidence and self assuredness, but this is an area the school would still like to strengthen, so a strong candidate for this position would also have a pastoral approach to teaching and relationship building.
