You will be responsible for working with services users and mental health professionals to navigate and coordinate services, which connect into community resources.

The assessment and recovery teams consist of specialist mental health practitioners, includingPeer Support Workers. Peer Support workers are experts by experience of their own recovery. You will work with service users to promote engagement and work on recovery orientated tasks. You will be expected to draw on your own experiences of recovery and will be given training on the most effective way to do this.

The assessment and recovery teams will help those people in Bristol who need to access community based mental health services, irrespective of age or background.

The teams will be based in three Bristol locations - north, central and south Bristol, aligned to GP localities. By being based in a community setting you will be more accessible to those who need support, working with service users in their homes, GP practices and other local sites.

Staff will work a 37 hour week on a rota basis across week days and weekends to provide an 8 am to 8 pm service. Part time hours may be considered, please indicate on the application form what hours you would like to be considered.

Staff will receive clinical and day to day supervision within the Assessment and Recovery team and also receive tailored supervision from Second Step.
