We have a new exciting opportunity at PDS Dental Laboratory for a Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join our successful team based in Bradford. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities of our Purchasing and Inventory Manager will include:

- To identify and source certain dental products from suppliers at the most competitive price and terms that is advantageous to the company

- To work closely with the procurement team in Witham to ensure that central procurement of products is maximised

- To be responsible for the evaluation of supplier performance such that they deliver against set key performance indicators (such as, but not limited to quality, delivery) and to take action when this is not met

- To ensure that supplier contracts are maintained and kept up to date

- To be responsible for timely, accurate ordering of stock such that out of stocks and back orders are kept to a minimum

- To be responsible for implementing an effective stock inventory system as well as maintaining an accurate and up-to-date stock file

- To work effectively with suppliers and with the procurement team in Witham to accurately predict and forecast stock requirements

- To be responsible and accountable for ensuring all orders have purchase orders and a goods received note generated and is matched to the invoice.

- To be responsible and accountable for all stock purchased and any out of stock situations and overstocks purchased from suppliers. To be responsible and accountable for ensuring all overstocks purchased are brought to the attention of the Financial controller and returned to the supplier for full credit or exchange

- To work effectively with the accounts department in Witham to ensure that supplier invoices are paid duly

- To ensure that the company pricing strategy is delivered at all times and aligned centrally

- To keep up to date with new product and new market developments and source new suppliers as necessary in order to maximise sales and revenue opportunities

- Results driven as role has an element of bonus attached to it

- Dynamic with ability to identify and maximise new income opportunities or cost savings

- Good commercial acumen

- Hard negotiator

- Good communicator at all levels of management

- Team player across all group companies

- Attention to detail

- Based near Bradford or willing to relocate

Desirable Skills of our Purchasing and Inventory Manager:

- Previous dental or healthcare experience

- Held similar positions within procurement and/or stock inventory

- Ability to start with immediate effect
