Leigh Trust is a Multi Academy Trust within Birmingham, with three large primary schools with plans for growth. We are looking to recruit an AAT qualified/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
The Role
The assistant management accountant will be responsible for assisting the local schools with month end procedures and typical duties will include; budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, assisting with monthly management accounts, financial reporting, maintaining cash controls, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, processing payroll journals, accruals and prepayments and more. You will be working closely with the Trust’s Director of Services and performing a variety of financial tasks.
To be part of the overall accounts department ensuring that the department as a whole maintains the highest level of integrity and service. This will involve efficient/ effective filing, a clean desk policy and all other aspects that uphold a professional service provision
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA. You will also need experience of working in a finance role, including month end experience which is NECESSARY for this role. Relevant experience with working in the education sector is desirable.
