Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.

Joining them as a part time (22 hours) Trainer / Assessor in Business, Management and AAT, you will provide effective on and off the job support and guidance, training and assessment as appropriate for work-based learners in liaison with their employers.

Supporting recruitment and leading on the enrolment of learners in the workplace, you must undertake inductions and initial assessments and prepare appropriate learning and assessment materials to meet learner needs, including the effective use of e-learning technology.  Planning, preparing and delivering training and development to meet ER programmes and Apprenticeship Frameworks, you will create and maintain individual learning plans; achieve agreed learner retention and achievement targets and monitor progress towards these to ensure performance targets are met. 

You must ensure high standards of delivery across the underpinning knowledge and assessment required for Employer Responsive programmes including Apprenticeship Frameworks for young people aged 16-18 and adults aged 19+, and other employer-facing programmes eligible within the Adult Skills Budget.

Candidates for this role must hold an Assessor Award (or a willingness to work towards), a level 3 qualification in a related specialism and also 3 years’ experience in a relevant occupational setting.  With experience of delivering and assessing Employer Responsive programmes, you must be capable of tracking, monitoring and providing feedback on learner progress to management, learners and employers.

Due to the field based nature of the role, you must hold a full driving licence, have the use of a car and be willing to travel within the Greater Manchester region.
