Business Development Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established organisation who specialise in office equipment. Based in Horsham, Sussex the successful Business Development Manager will earn a fantastic salary of £30,000 per annum depending on experience plus commission.

This market leading company have over 20 years’ experience in supplying offices all over the UK with office supplies, business products, consumables and IT equipment. As a Business Development Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the development of the market
• Using initiative to explore new opportunities by researching the needs of other companies and pitch new proposals and pricing
• Attending networking events to understand trends and competitors
• Liaising with customers to build strong relationships
• Developing and implement negotiation strategies for achieving sales targets
• Writing reports and feeding back to management
• Identifying new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns
• Get involved in training and recruitment when needed

To be considered for the Business Development Manager position you must have a background of excellent B2B Sales, preferably in the Office supplies industry. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:

• At least 3 years Sales experience
• Ability to think strategically within a multi-channel organisation
• Be commercially minded
• Strong skills and stakeholder management
• Strong negotiator and ability to influence and communicate effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task whilst meeting deadlines and KPIs
