THE COMPANY:

Our North-East based client's are a well established general Building Contracting company specialising in refurbishment, conversions, insurance, heritage and new build. Although the main head office is based out of Cramlington, they operate all across the North East Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Co Durham and Teeside.

 

THE ROLE:

Our client is now looking to recruit an experienced working site manager in the North East, to join their exciting team in this fast paced, varied role.

 

As an Experienced Site Manager/Supervisor, you will be operating on sites across the North East, overseeing a multitude of jobs from refurbishment to heritage/new build in both commercial, industrial and large domestic.

You should be SMSTS qualified and hold a current CSCS card, ideally you will be from a bricklaying background (not essential) with previous experience of managing refurbishment and conservation projects.

 

Key Responsibilities of an Experienced Site Manager to include:-

  • Oversee delivery of projects,

  • Ensure all H&L Legislation is adhered too

  • Supervising staff and subcontractors

  • Problem-solving

  • Checking and preparing site reports

  • Liaising with clients and reporting progress,

The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.

 

Key experience essential for the Experienced Site Manager role:

  • Previous experience managing refurbishment and conservation projects would be an advantage,

  • Be SMSTS qualified

  • Hold a current CSCS Card

  • Good communication skills

  • Problem solving skill

  • Ability to motivate others

  • Hold a current driving licence – Ideally clean
