JOB TITLE: Maintenance/Tyre Controllers
SALARY & BENEFITS: £Negotiable
WORKING HOURS: Monday-Friday, 08:00-18:00 – one hour lunch, Saturdays, 08:00-12:30, as per rota
THE COMPANY: Our client is one of the country's leading vehicle contract hire specialists, with around 7000 vehicles on fleet at any given time varying from cars and vans to HGV's, they supply vehicle solutions to a mixture of trade and private customers, for either long-term hire or spot hire. Due to growth, they are currently seeking Maintenance/Tyre Controllers to join their team in Manchester.
THE ROLE: Our client is seeking Maintenance/Tyre Controllers to join their team in Manchester. Within this office-based position, your main responsibilities will include making and receiving phone calls in order to best keep the fleet mobile. You will be responsible for dealing with queries from customers and service agents alike regarding routine servicing, breakdowns and any other enquiries concerning maintenance, ensuring all details are correctly recorded and the correct identification and dispatch of the appropriate service agents where required. You will also be responsible for the generation and issuing of all relevant purchase order numbers for any such work whether routine or otherwise.
Key Responsibilities to include:
Making and receiving phone calls from customers and service agents alike
- Dealing with queries from customers and service agents regarding routine servicing, breakdowns and any other maintenance related enquiry
- Identification and dispatch of the correct service agent/s where required
Generation and Issuing of PO numbers for routine servicing and breakdowns
- Other tasks commensurate with the role
THE CANDIDATE: To be considered for the Maintenance/Tyre Controller position, you must have sound mechanical knowledge taken from previous industry experience, an excellent telephone manner and basic computer literacy. You must be reliable and have an enthusiastic demeanour with excellent customer service skills and good commercial knowledge. Previous experience as a Mechanic, in particular an HGV Mechanic, would be beneficial but is not essential.
Key experience essential for the role:

Key experience desirable for the role:
- Previous experience as a Mechanic
- NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Motor Mechanics
