What are the responsibilities of the CRM Application Consultant?

We are looking for a well-rounded CRM professional to work as part of the Sales and Marketing application team within our Technology group. The team covers the full lifecycle of solutions from business requirements to service and support, for a global set of business users. 

You will be delivering global Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on a Salesforce. com platform; this requires you to lead significant work streams with internal and/or external teams. The role is both technical and business facing and you will be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.  Our industry is changing fast and you would be joining us at an exciting and challenging time.

Our ideal CRM Application Consultant will have the following skills & experience:

- Experience defining and implementing CRM strategies

- Experience configuring CRM solutions (e.g. Salesforce. com, Siebel, MS Dynamics CRM or other CRM platforms)

- Information presentation through user interface, reports, dashboards, OLAP analysis and visual insight

- Experience setting up email marketing tools (e.g. ExactTarget, DotMailer, Adestra)

- Market Analysis and segmentation techniques

- Software Development Life Cycle

- Data integration (SOAP / REST, APIs)

- Testing and performance optimisation

- Team management and motivation

- Service and support

Most importantly, you would need to have the aptitude to learn new skills quickly and share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the group as part of continual professional development for yourself and others.

We are looking for an individual with clear leadership abilities, who communicates clearly and builds strong relationships within and across teams and organisational structures.

It is essential that the candidate has a clear understanding of commercial strategies in Sales and Marketing. To complement other skills in the team, we would prefer a background in commercial software / business applications.

The Sales and Marketing team will be involved in agile development (where suitable) and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable empowering the team, and retain a commitment to technical excellence whilst working at the required pace.
