Our client is a large, and growing, specialist land-based College, with centres throughout Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Tees Valley.

They are now looking to recruit a part time Counsellor to provide College counselling services in accordance with BAC guidelines.

Within the role you will promote the role of counselling services across the College, providing appointments for students on Monday or Wednesday mornings from 08:30am – 12:00pm and abiding by the College’s Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Single Equality policies.

Liaising with Student Support Services and organising supervision, you will complete reports and take part in evaluations of your own practice, advising the Student Support and Welfare Manager on improvements to the College counselling services as necessary.

Candidates for this role will be qualified to Diploma level and have experience of counselling young people, ideally with knowledge of the support services on offer in York. With an enthusiasm for working with students and evidence of recent academic study, you will currently be involved in counselling young people in other organisations.
