Working under the direction of the Lead Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for the provision, maintenance and operation of equipment in our performance spaces and for assisting students and staff in the delivery of a busy programme of events, productions and learning activity.

As well as a relevant qualification, you must have at least two years’ experience and a good working knowledge of the technical aspects of a producing theatre including the use of a wide range of equipment and systems such as intelligent lighting control and programming, live sound, video and counterweight flying. A good working knowledge of stage management might be advantageous.

You will be required to work closely with students, demonstrating technical equipment and supervising their practical work. The ideal applicant will be well-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to a career in performance technology. You will often be required to work unsociable and flexible hours.
