Deputy Day Centre Manager

Location: Oldbury

Salary: 17,500 – 18,400 dependent on experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week including occasional Saturday working.

About Us:

Cheshire Care Service Ltd is a well-established private organisation providing supported Living, day care, respite and outreach for individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues and complex needs within the Sandwell Area. We have been providing services since 2007 and we are now looking for a dynamic individual to join our team.

The role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced practitioner with at least 3 years proven management experience, to become a member of our team providing support to individuals who access our service, also providing strong leadership and management support to the staff team who work within our service.

Key Tasks of the Deputy Day Centre Manager:

  • To Undertake and manage the running of Day Service in line with all legislative requirements and contractual framework of the purchasing authorities.
  • Liaise with parents, external health professionals and other agencies. Opportunities to develop networks and opportunities for the individuals who attend the Day Service.
  • To manage service within allocated resources.
  • Oversee management of staff rotas.
  • Undertake and maintain health and safety, risk assessments
  • Undertake individual reviews and assessments.
  • Ensure staff comply with policy and procedures, identifying staff training needs, supervise staff and undertake staff meetings.
  • Comply with and embed Cheshire Care Services policies and procedures.

Personal Specification:

Essential skills required for the Deputy Day Centre Manager:

  • Minimum of 3 years proven management experience within a Day Service setting or similar environment.
  • Extensive leadership and management to support and motivate staff teams.
  • Health and Social Care level 5.
  • Extensive experience of dealing with Social Workers and families.
  • Desire for personal development and achieving goals.
  • Flexible working including working some Saturdays.

Desirable skills required for the Deputy Day Centre Manager:

  • Full UK driving licence ( preferred by not essential)
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of individuals including Mental Health and Complex needs.
