Position: International Tax Specialist - In-House Insurance
Location: London
Salary: £60000 - £85000 per annum
Job Type: Full time
The company client is a widely respected business rapidly expanding who are now recruiting a driven and articulate International Tax Specialist - In-House Insurance for their thriving team based in the City. The job holder will proactively advise and assist the business in handling and planning for international tax risks.This is an exciting opportunity for career progression.
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties for UK:
* To work with the Group Tax Specialist in producing the quarterly and forecast corporation tax calculations and country by country reporting.
* Deal with other ad hoc Corporation Tax matters as required.
* To monitor intra group transactions, prepare transfer pricing reports, monitor thin capitalisation and debt cap implications for the group.
International Taxes responsibilities will cover:
* To advise on international tax matters including keeping up to date on international tax developments and their implications for the group including legislation & practice changes.
* Monitor timely and accurate submission of returns, POA, claims, elections including regular monitoring of overseas activities for new reporting requirements.
* To deal with withholding taxes.
* Provide support to the Head of Tax in relation to Advance Pricing Agreements.
* Monitor the CFC position of entities.
Indirect Taxes duties:
* To be responsible for UK & international indirect taxes except for UK VAT.
* Monitor Insurance Premium Tax and other Premium tax processes
* To liaise with the delegated underwriting team in relation to coverholder activities performed for the group.
Other Taxes:
* Liaise with Human Resources and Finance Operations in relation to employment tax matters internationally.
* Carry out the employed/self-employed review quarterly.
* Any other ad hoc tax project work.
