INTERVENOR

Ash Field is an all-age specialist Academy for children from 4-19 whose main presenting need is physical but usually associated with additional needs. The school has an excellent national reputation following eight outstanding Ofsted reports.  You will need experience of working with children and young people, a positive attitude, enthusiasm and lots of energy!

To work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil having dual sensory impairments individually and in groups, to act as the ears and eyes for the pupil and aid all aspects of communication.  To enable the pupil to take the fullest advantage of all that takes place in the school, ensuring full access to the curriculum and to work closely with teachers and other supporting professionals providing support for the pupil in all teaching and learning situations including promoting independence.

30 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (Mon -Fri) 

Applicants must have English and Maths at GCSE grade C or above or an equivalent level 2 qualification, Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status or a willingness to complete an assessment for Higher Level Teaching Assistant status and a suitable intervenor qualification or willing to attend a five day residential training course.

Permanent position subject to satisfactory completion of a 12 month probationary period.

Salary will be pro-rata of £15,812 (92.49%).  Actual starting salary:  £14,624.
