If you are an IOSH Managing Safely qualified maintenance and engineering professional looking for a new challenge, this is a prime opportunity to grow and progress with our exceptional company.

As an Iggesund employee, you will be a member of the Holmen Group. Our Group places focus on the pride and satisfaction of all our teams and we are mindful that it’s people that make our business successful.

At our Workington mill, you will find an emphasis on wellbeing, we offer discounted rates at local gyms and the swimming pools and as individuals or teams we are often involved in events to raise money for charities.

You’ll attend engineering meetings, creating and advising on work orders to maintain the safe workings of the mill. Supervising where required, you will support planned work, act as a project engineer or manager for plant improvements and prepare and update detailed functional and engineering specifications.

As part of your role, you will be required to work as part of the engineering duty rota.

Additionally, your role will involve:

- Diagnosing faults, responding to breakdowns and taking the necessary actions to rectify them
- Preparing capital equipment and expenditure proposals
- Acting as the ‘waste holder’ for your particular area of operations

So, is this the role for you? If so, you must have:

- Excellent maintenance and project engineering experience
- Experience of plant management databases
- An HND in Mechanical Engineering
- An IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent
- A strong level of computer literacy, with particular knowledge of Windows Office suite and asset management systems
