Lifting Equipment Inspector / Workshop Engineer

For this Lifting Equipment Inspector / Workshop Engineer position our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to carry out inspection of Lifting Equipment on customer sites and in the company workshop.

Job Description:

• Carry out LOLER inspection on customer sites / in company workshops.
• Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures.
• Assist with repairs and servicing where required in the companies workshops.
• Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
• Experience and qualifications.
• Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual / Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms for lifting & handling equipment.
• A minimum of two LEEA Lifting Equipment Theory Certificates or diplomas preferred.
• Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment.
• A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required.
• Good understanding of method statement and risk assessments.
• Good organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork.
• Commitment.
• Punctuality.

Location: East (E6) or West London (W3)
Salary: Dependant on Experience

The service that they offer includes the Hire, Sale, Repair, Inspection, Testing and Design & Fabrication of most types of lifting related equipment on a regional, national and international level.

The company operates from 9 strategically placed branch locations those being Preston, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, West London, East London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Middlesbrough that employs around 80 full time staff between its sites. They also have a Projects Division based in Preston which specialises in Heavy Lifting Equipment, Contract Lifting and Bespoke Fabrication.
