Position: Project Manager

Salary: Negotiable – Dependent on Experience

Our client is a successful and growing company, with forty years’ experience in the manufacture of high quality structural protection membranes, coating systems and highway maintenance products.
With exciting plans for the future, the business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team, to manage the implementation of a number of strategic business projects including new product development and process improvements.
Based at their Head Office in Knutsford, Cheshire, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of the company’s exciting plans for future growth.
The Project Manager Role:
You will be responsible for managing the planning, procurements and execution of a variety of projects across the business to support the business growth strategy. The Project Manager role will encompass all aspects of project management and cross functional project team. You will need to be commercially focused and will work on multiple tasks delivering and owning projects of varying sizes and complexity.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of key projects
- To be the ambassador for timely and successful project management across the business
- Initiation of project management best practice across the business including:
- Stagegate / approval process
- Resource planning
- Communication
- Project updates
- Measure / review
- Monthly Report progress and risks to the board
- Propose ideas to improve processes to meet requirements of the customer as effectively and cost efficiently as possible
- Develop and deliver project management training across the business
- Identify personal development needs and agree and implement development plan
- A proven track record of project management experience across a varied range of business projects from marketing, sales and IT to technical and supply chain
- Relevant project management qualifications
- Strong analytical capability
- Strong Microsoft package skills MS Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Database management experience
- Experience in a commercial environment, with a good understanding of cost and quality drivers
- Knowledge and practical experience of LEAN principles and working within an Agile environment
- Desired - PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or APM P (or PQ) or PMI equivalent qualified
- A self-starter and strong team player
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and be able to prioritise tasks
- Organised
- Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal/communication skills
- Desirable from engineering / construction background
- Keen to develop within a forward thinking business
