A terrific opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller / Finance & Admin Clerk to join one of the UK’s fastest growing hi-tech manufacturers.

CREDIT CONTROLLER / FINANCE & ADMIN CLERK

SALARY: £21,000, plus benefits

LOCATION: Based at the company’s head office in Tring, Hertfordshire, you must currently live within daily commuting distance.

HOURS: full-time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

You will be working as part of a close knit, dedicated and professional financial and administration team, working in spacious and modern offices at the company’s main production facility.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your primary duties and responsibilities will include:

* Credit Control

* Entering transactions on a daily basis to the Sales, Purchase and General Ledgers.

* Daily Bank reconciliations

* General office duties and financial administration

* Journal entries and ledgers maintenance

* Prepare payment runs

* Supporting where possible the wider finance functions of the business

* Assisting with ad hoc HR admin duties

 

To ensure that all reporting functions are completed accurately and on time, you will have a minimum of 2 years demonstrable finance experience within an accounting environment. 

While it would be an advantage to be qualified or part qualified AAT or have an A Level in Accounts, it is not essential.  Practical hands on experience, ideally using Microsoft NAV, Sage Line 50, or similar, is far more important – so too is a sound educational background, including Maths and English.

You will be clear thinking and concise, with the ability to process data efficiently and accurately, and have good broad experience of the accounting function.  You should possess good verbal and written communication skills, be able to work to strict deadlines, and a have genuine commitment to getting the job done. Be competent using Microsoft Office applications and a current accounting software.
