THE COMPANY: My client, the largest Disability charity in the UK, is currently looking to recruit a Full time Registered Nurse to join their dedicated team of care professionals, at their residential home facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The home, based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, is well-resourced and suits the pursuit of personal interests, with an activities programme in place and pledge to promote the emotional health of residents as a core part of the service philosophy.

THE ROLE: Registered Nurse- Ampthill, Bedfordshire

This exciting and rewarding position will involve being responsible for the direct supervision of all care staff on shift, maintaining a high quality service to all service users and to provide nursing care and drugs administration.

Key Responsibilities:- Registered Nurse- Ampthill, Bedfordshire



• Responsible for the formal and daily supervision of care staff.

• Facilitate and encourage team work within the service.

• Maintain close working relationships with therapy and ancillary staff.

• Liaise with outside agencies as part of the multi-disciplinary approach to care.

• Cover on-call service on a rate basis when required.

• Participate in supervision, staff meetings and training activities.

• Support service users with their physical care and person hygiene needs.

• Ensure service users independence is preserved and developed as far as possible.

• Liaise with social workers and key workers when conducting service users reviews.

• Ensure service users' needs are identified and their aspirations are being met.



THE CANDIDATE: You will be a kind and compassionate individual with a passion in providing a great level of care. Able to multi task and prioritise your own workload as well and others. Ideally have a background in providing nursing care to service users with physical disabilities with a person centred working approach.

Key skills and experience essential:- Registered Nurse- Ampthill, Bedfordshire
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of disabled people.
  • Experience of supervising a team of staff is beneficial.
  • To be able to effectively work as part of a team.
  • Experience of communicating with professionals and other agencies.
  • Able to work rostered hours.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English is essential.
  • UK driving license along with own transport would be beneficial.


Qualifications:- Registered Nurse- Ampthill, Bedfordshire
  • Qualified Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin.
  • Able to demonstrate post qualification training.
