The Role
Responsible for preparing breads, pastries and desserts
Ensuring the best possible standard of pastry and baking is delivered across the establishment consistently
To ensure all procedures are documented and required standards are implemented at all times
To work flexibly across the varied food outlets including Restaurant, hospitality banqueting, Lounge areas etc.
Follow all Health, Safety & Hygiene Regulations and maintain excellent standards of hygiene within your area of work
The Candidate
Well experienced as a Pastry Chef in a leading similar sized establishment
NVQ level 2/3 or similar experience and qualifications
Must have valid certificate at Level 2 Food Hygiene
Clean, neat and methodical approach to work
Able to work under pressure
High standard of food hygiene and fully understand HACCP and COSHH
A team player, well organised
Must be able to organise the entire pastry offering on a daily basis, with creative talent and passion under the guidance, training and instruction of an award winning Head Pastry Chef
Have good pastry recipe knowledge, loads of passion and buckets of enthusiasm
Must be willing to work hard and be flexible as per business needs
To liaise with the floor staff and all chefs to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth running of service
Customer service appreciation and awareness
Excellent on the job training opportunity
Terms & Conditions
39 hours per week, worked on a shift rota basis
Paid annual leave of 4 x weekly contracted hours, plus pro rata bank holiday entitlement
Uniform provided and free meal whilst on duty
Use of some sports facilities including gym and swimming pool
Non-contributory pension scheme and private healthcare on service criteria
Live-in accommodation if required including 3 meals a day
