Do you have proven management experience gained within a finance department, where your focus has been on management accounting and budgetary control? Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a management accountant.

Recovery Focus is a new group of expert charities with the shared aim to inspire individual recovery nationwide. Between us we have a long track record of developing and running personalised services that work with people with mental health, substance misuse and other complex needs to achieve their ambitions. Each partner organisation has its own rich history of success, but together we believe we can lead the way in evidence-based recovery pathways that we can tailor to meet local and individual needs.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for a management accountant to join their head office team. A specialist provider of mental health services, Richmond Fellowship has been working towards a society that values everyone with mental health problems since 1959. But, the excellent work their frontline staff do, day in day out, is only possible with the help of people like you.

A key member of the Financial Reporting team, your challenge will be to deliver the transformation of receipts and payments information into full draft income and expenditure statements for all services. This will need to be done in a timely manner, complete with appropriate working capital balances, assets and reserves entries where appropriate. And it will all need to be done to a high standard, with minimal supervision, in order to deliver a draft that‘s accurate and clear in terms of the information reported which will form the cornerstone of financial management across the business. But that’s not all, as you’ll also get involved in budget setting, make periodic reviews of local financial and systems controls, support the rent setting process and deputise for the Finance Manager when required.

Ideally studying towards a CCAB qualification, your proven background in finance includes management reporting and budgetary control. Adept at managing trial balance reviews, self-management in delivering budgeting and forecasting programmes is another one of your strengths. What's more, you have an understanding of accounting standards, rent accounting and managing reserves as well as experience of drafting reports for managers.

This post is offered as a fixed term contract ending September 2017.

In return, you can expect some benefits, including 25 days' annual leave (pro rata) plus 8 public holidays, contributory pension scheme and life assurance cover.

So, get inspired today. Visit our website and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.
